STRATFORD-UPON-AVON WALKING TOURS

We had an informative 100 minute tour of the lovely town of Stratford Upon Avon. We were guided by Peter who was fun and informative. We were blessed with some unexpected decent weather which was a plus too. We did a loop through the town stopping off at various interesting locations and finishing at the RSC building, Peter explained a number of things covering the history of Shakespeare and the town.

We had a morning walking tour which started at 10:30 and meant that Stratford was relatively quiet - we took a photo in front of Shakespeare's house with nobody in front of us! Our guide was excellent and he gave us a great tour and overview of the key places. It set us up for spending more time on our own after lunch. A really great way to get the introduction to the town

This was a FANTASTIC experience. Our guide was a local who loved Stratford and shared so many little local stories with us. We saw everything we wanted to see (bought the RSC ticket later). Couldn't have asked for a better insight into the town.

Despite the torrential rain, the guide kept us in good spirits with his amusing anecdotes and positive character. All major sites of interest were covered, and just enough info was given at each stop, with suggestions of how to obtain more details if desired. And because he was a genuine local resident, he was also able to answer all questions!
