ABOUT US
LOCAL GUIDES | LOCAL EXPERIENCES
Hi we’re Liv and Jenny, we founded this small business in 2017, because we understand how important it is to meet and spend time with a local when you visit a new place. We initially took the tours ourself, before expanding into a group of guides, each who bring their own spin to the tours.
In each place, all of our guides are guides because they are passionate about the city and they want to share its beauty with you! Our guides come from all walks of life, and all have their own unique experiences of their hometown, which is what makes every tour unique. We hope to see you on one of our tours soon.
We don’t just offer your standard history tours, we have unique experiences too! You can book any day from now until the end of 2026.

MEET OUR TEAM
FRASER
Fraser loves York. He visited York on his honeymoon and liked the city so much that he came back year after year on holiday until moving to the city (from Aberdeen) in 2014. Fraser enjoys showing people around York and in particular shattering popular myths in order to give a true flavour of what life would have been like for those who lived here in Yesteryear. Fraser looks forward to meeting you and sharing his love of the city with you he can provide level access tours as well as dog friendly tours if required.
PHILIP
Hey, I’m Philip and I’ve lived in York for 12 years and but originally from just a bit further north in Teesside. I came to York after studying in Newcastle to be a curator at York Castle Museum and now I manage our community engagement programme which explore the lesser known histories of York. I love showing people round this beautiful city and celebrating unusual and unsung parts of York.
RICHARD
Hi, my name is Richard. I was born, raised and schooled in and around Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, before moving to Newcastle to take a degree in dentistry. Having had a wonderful career as a dentist in Pickering and Malton (near to York), I have been fortunate enough to work as a tour guide for the last three years. I tour at Scampston Hall near Malton and take driving tours with Expedition Yorkshire as well as enjoying Walking Tours in York. Outside of work I attempt to keep fit with running, walking (particularly in the Yorkshire Dales) and yoga. I am very proud of my Yorkshire roots and love my county as well as its historic centre, York and look forward to sharing its fantastic sights with you.
