Hi we’re Liv and Jenny, we founded this small business in 2017, because we understand how important it is to meet and spend time with a local when you visit a new place. We initially took the tours ourself, before expanding into a group of guides, each who bring their own spin to the tours.

In each place, all of our guides are guides because they are passionate about the city and they want to share its beauty with you! Our guides come from all walks of life, and all have their own unique experiences of their hometown, which is what makes every tour unique. We hope to see you on one of our tours soon.

We don’t just offer your standard history tours, we have unique experiences too! You can book any day from now until the end of 2026.

STEVEN

Hi, I’m Steven, however, please call me Mojo… I’ll explain on the tour. I feel very fortunate to be a native of Edinburgh. Its people and diversity create an enchanting culture and history which I’d love to share with you. I’m also a football referee; one who very much prefers walking tour bookings, to yellow card “bookings”!!!

MORAG

Hi there, my name is Morag, known to most as Mo. I’ve lived in Edinburgh for about 20 years, before that I lived in the Scottish Borders. It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful Edinburgh (and the whole of Scotland for that matter) is……!! I look forward to showing you around some of Edinburgh’s sights soon!!

Hi, welcome to Edinburgh! I am proud to call this outstanding city home and passionate about helping visitors from around the world to discover hidden places, ancient history and the modern Scotland. My idea of a perfect town excursion is joining facts and entertainment by giving people a clear sense of the big picture and why it looks like that and then bring it to life with telling details and curious stories. Hi my name is Phil, and I’ve been lucky enough to live in Scotland’s capital for 55 years. I love it as a place to live. Its history, its culture and its weather (that’s a joke by the way!) make it a truly wonderful city and I’d be delighted to help you get to know it. Welcome!

Hi, my name’s Lisa. I have lived in this amazing city of Edinburgh for nearly 60 yrs. Who wouldn’t enjoy the buzz, history, architecture and culture of the place that I am so very proud to call home, I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!!! I would love for you to join me so I can show you MY city in all its GLORY! I look forward to meeting you and doing my two favourite things walking and chatting.

Hello! My name is James and I have lived in Edinburgh for 36 years. I love living in Edinburgh and find the city endlessly fascinating, with its unique geographical features, beautiful buildings and rich history. I have a lifelong passion for history and would love to share this with you. Edinburgh is a city of incredible contrasts, with its Old Town and New Town, and its stories of both brilliant intellectuals and infamous villains! Come and join me on a tour and I will show you some of the amazing things that make the beautiful city of Edinburgh so unique!

Hi, My name is Chris – Edinburgh born and raised. I’m a retired lawyer but don’t let that put you off! Edinburgh is a fabulous city and I look forward to sharing its nooks and crannies (and maybe some crooks and nannies too) with you.

DONALD

I am a former Scottish History and Gaelic teacher. A native Gaelic speaker, originally from Argyll in the western Highlands, I have lived in this ancient, amazing city of Edinburgh for more than twenty years. One of my four sons encouraged me to step into the world of tour guiding. Claiming my humor, penchant for meeting new people and boundless knowledge and pride of Edinburgh, and Scotland, would be a great fit. I love bringing our past and present alive, through storytelling and wee anecdotes.

Taking real pride in giving both an authentic and lighthearted introduction to the unique city of Edinburgh and country of Scotland. My tour guiding experience has exceeded my positive expectations. Proving my son’s advice to be very astute.

CLAIRE

Hello hello!! I’m Claire, a historian and guide with a focus on medieval and early modern Edinburgh. I’ve been in Scotland for 8 years now, and I love it more every day! I grew up in Louisiana, then attended the University of St Andrews here in Scotland, where I achieved my Master of Arts in Medieval Studies, Medieval History, and Divinity. Traveling is my passion (I’ve been to every continent except Antarctica), but the minute I stepped foot in Edinburgh I feel madly in love with the city and am now so proud to call it my home! I’m so excited to show you around my favourite place!!

VICKY

I was born in Edinburgh and no matter where I travel to, I have always been proud to call it home. My early career was spent teaching Biology followed by many years working with younger children. Now, having spent 25 years in the classroom, I am loving guiding visitors around the city.

I enjoy spending time outdoors running, cycling and walking in addition to a little bit of wild swimming. Family time is important to me and I also enjoy sharing a few drinks with friends in some of our great pubs. No matter your passions and interests, I am sure we can unite in exploring this amazing city together.

PAUL

Hi, my name is Paul and I am Scottish born. I’ve lived in Edinburgh for 40 years, and worked as a BBC reporter in northern Ireland in a past life. My interests include a love of history, modern culture, arts and politics.
When I am not busy touring Edinburgh by foot, I play guitar jazz etc and enjoy solving cryptic crosswords – I am excited to show you the sights of the city!

KARI ANN

Hi! I’m Kari Ann. Originally from Minnesota (USA), Scotland has been my country since 2001. Though I’d say I’m a citizen of the world since I’ve been privileged to live in several US states, plus New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Germany, and have travelled elsewhere too. It seems I was destined to end up in Edinburgh (Feel free to ask me why!) but since late 2007 the tiny village of North Queensferry is my home. From here I can swim and row in our coastal waters, marvel at our Forth Rail Bridge everyday, and see Edinburgh’s distinct outline across the way.

My background is in theatre and I’m passionate about people and their stories. I love to bridge connections between people and places; the more we learn about each other, the smaller the distance between us becomes. I’m also a baker and love to talk cake!

Edinburgh is a city of layers with endless stories inside each of those layers. I look forward to sharing some with you, as well as hearing some of your story too!
