Despite having previously lived in Leeds ten years, this tour explained in detail, streets I had walked down and buildings I’d passed without so much as a blink of an eye. Sarah our guide, took us on a riveting tour of Leeds City centre. Her stories brought grand buildings and people within them alive and she described the importance of the river Aire as a trading route. There’s much to learn going on Sarah’s tour, that you could easily apply to other cities’ history; she taught us how to look! It was a lovely way to meet my friend on a day out, before we had lunch.
