ABOUT US
LOCAL GUIDES | LOCAL EXPERIENCES
Hi we’re Liv and Jenny, we founded this small business in 2017, because we understand how important it is to meet and spend time with a local when you visit a new place. We initially took the tours ourself, before expanding into a group of guides, each who bring their own spin to the tours.
In each place, all of our guides are guides because they are passionate about the city and they want to share its beauty with you! Our guides come from all walks of life, and all have their own unique experiences of their hometown, which is what makes every tour unique. We hope to see you on one of our tours soon.
We don’t just offer your standard history tours, we have unique experiences too! You can book any day from now until the end of 2026.

KIRSTY
Hi! My name is Kirsty. I’ve been with Walking Tours since 2024, and in addition to working for a neurodiversity charity I also do life modelling on the side! I have a background in archaeology and love to bring this perspective into my tours where I can. I could talk about the history of my weird little city (Aberdeen) at length and am just chuffed that I get to spend my time doing just that!
BETH
Hi! My name’s Beth and I can’t wait to introduce you to some of Aberdeen’s hidden and not so hidden sights and stories. Â
When I’m not guiding tours you’ll find me enjoying the area’s beautiful surroundings on my bike, on my paddleboard or walking in the woods with my senior fun loving Spaniel. Â
I can’t wait to welcome you to the Granite City!
OLIE
Hey I’m Olie. I’m born and raised in Aberdeen – well, the shire. I love my home and love the opportunity that I’ve been given this year to show off my home town to people from far and wide. Last year I volunteered for the tallships festival. It saw the whole city buzzing and I wanted to do more. Thanks to the great folks that run this tour thing. I’m able to talk and share the many moments of history and importance my corner of the world has to tell. Hope to see you soon
PHIL
Hi my name is Phil, born and bred in Aberdeen. I spent many years serving in HM Customs and Excise and Revenue and Customs before a brief retirement and then spent time working in the Care Sector.Â
I love history and spent my youth wandering the streets of Aberdeen, soaking up the history and enjoying the architecture, some of which still exists.Â
I have travelled a fair bit and enjoy meeting people. I look forward to meeting visitors to Aberdeen and sharing my love of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.Â
